Iain King


Iain King writes thrillers, and non-fiction books on international affairs, military history and ethics.   His debut novel, Secrets of the Last Nazi, topped Amazon thriller charts in the UK and US, and won widespread acclaim.  His non-fiction books on Kosovo and Afghanistan have been cited throughout academic literature, and his work on philosophy credited with providing groundbreaking new ideas.

 Iain was awarded a CBE for his work rehabilitating war-zones in Europe, Africa and Asia, and he played a key role in peace processes in Northern Ireland and the Balkans.  He was deployed to Benghazi at short notice during the Libyan civil war, and worked alongside the British army if Afghanistan.  He was recently Director of NATO’s Mission in Iraq.

 He has featured on the BBC and CNN, and written for several high-profile outlets, including NBC and Prospect Magazine, and used to be a a columnist for Military History Monthly.

 When he’s not writing, Iain spends time with walking, reading, and with his two teenage children.
