Sarah Gerrard-Jones

Sarah Gerrard-Jones is a leading voice in the world of indoor gardening, known for her passion for rescuing and reviving ailing houseplants. Her social media platform, @theplantrescuer, has grown to a community of more than 500,000 followers who turn to her for guidance, inspiration, and honest plant wisdom.

An RHS Gold Medal winner, Sarah is also the founder of the Plant Rescue Box initiative, a scheme designed to reduce plant waste by giving unloved plants a second chance. She is the author of three books—The Plant Rescuer (Bloomsbury), Cacti & Succulents (DK), and The Philosophy of Houseplants (British Library). She is currently working on her next book which will be published in Autumn 2026.

Alongside her books, Sarah writes for The Times, BBC Gardeners’ World Magazine, and Gardens Illustrated. Her work and expertise have been featured on BBC Gardeners’ World, and she was a presenter on ITV’s Alan Titchmarsh’s Gardening Club.
